Reading the map

The picture is not decoration. Angle is a stage of life — the twelve wedges run clockwise from infancy at the top through to death, with the frictions that never leave in the final wedge. Distance from the centre is distance from a human being. The ten constants sit at the core. Around them are the phases, then the frictions people feel, then the solutions the market built, then the enablers and companies those depend on, then the factors that price them, and at the rim the trends that will change them.
